What is child welfare community care?
The social work in community care is intended for children, their parents or other guardians, when the child’s right to a safe and inspiring growth environment, balanced and diverse development and special protection is not fulfilled or there is a reason to believe it is not fulfilled.
Together with the client, a community care social worker will look for solution options, arrange support and services and monitor and evaluate their implementation and effectiveness.
How can the service be applied for?
A client relationship with child welfare social work services is attained if the relationship continues after the assessment concerning the need for child welfare services has been completed. The service is applied for via the service unit of community care social work of the client’s own residential area.
