Tobacco Addiction Clinic

Tobacco Addiction Clinic

Smoking is the greatest lifestyle-related cause of morbidity and mortality. In addition to increasing the risk of cancer, smoking also increases the risk of developing cardiovascular diseases. Quitting smoking is a key part of the prevention and treatment of diabetes, hypertension, coronary artery disease, asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

The City of Helsinki’s Tobacco Addiction Clinic holds groups where people can discuss the best methods, share their experiences and receive peer support. The groups are held at different Health Stations as needed.
