Your own health station will provide you with basic health care services. The health station is your primary location for treatment, the staff there will refer you for further examinations and treatment if necessary.
At the health station, a work team of a doctor and a nurse will be in charge of your treatment. Health stations also provide the services of psychiatric nurses, substance abuse workers and physiotherapists. Patients are referred to a psychiatric nurse after a treatment need evaluation carried out by a public health nurse or a doctor.
If you require urgent care, you can come directly to the health station on weekdays. However, we recommend you call your health station first.
Health stations are closed on evenings and weekends. During these hours, sudden illnesses and injuries are treated at the Haartman and Malmi Emergency Hospitals. Emergency health station services for children are provided by the Children’s Hospital.
