The EU COVID-19 certificate can be found via the My Kanta service at omakanta.fi. You can log in to My Kanta with your online bank codes. There is a delay in the transfer of data to My Kanta, for example after vaccination, which may take a few days.

The EU Digital COVID Certificate consists of three different certificates:

  • a COVID-19 vaccination certificate,
  • a certificate of a negative COVID-19 test result,
  • a certificate of recovery from COVID-19.

The COVID-19 vaccination certificate

The COVID-19 vaccination certificate will be available in My Kanta as soon as you have received the vaccination. The certificate will show the name of the most recent vaccine received, the date of administration and the number of vaccine doses. If you have received two vaccines, only the name of the second vaccine dose will be shown.

The EU COVID-19 vaccination certificates for those under the age of 18 who have received two vaccination doses will remain valid until further notice. Vaccination certificates for adults will expire after 270 days (about nine months) from the last vaccination dose. As of yet, no acceptance period applies to certificates issued following the administration of booster doses.

The certificate of a negative COVID-19 test result

The certificate of a negative COVID-19 test result will be updated on My Kanta once the test results are ready. My Kanta will show your latest test result first.

The certificate of recovery from COVID-19

The certificate of recovery from COVID-19 is submitted to My Kanta when the disease is confirmed with a positive PCR test result. A lateral flow test (an antigen test) result is not sufficient as proof of an infection. An EU Digital COVID Certificate will not be updated to the My Kanta pages if the result of the coronavirus test is weakly positive. The test result can then read, for example, "trace" or "limit value".

The certificate enters into force in 11 days and expires 180 days after receiving the test result.

There may be a delay of a few days in transferring data to My Kanta.
