Short-term sheltered housing of the elderly

Short-term care of the elderly is a preventative operation, which maintains and promotes functional abilities in a target-oriented manner. Short-term care supports
the well-being and health of senior citizens living at home. In addition, short-term
care also supports the resources of the carer.

The service is applied for from Helsinki Senior Info, tel. 09 310 44556 Mon-Fri 9: 00-15: 00.

The service is available in the versatile service centres, service homes or in purchased service units.

A daily fee of 29.30 euros will be charged for the short-term service housing. This fee does not cover drugs or treatment equipment. This fee does not count towards the annual payment limit.

Prerequisites:

The service is primarily intended for a person over 65 years of age, who requires temporary 24-hour institutional care for the duration of his or her carer's vacation.

The service is only for citizens of Helsinki.
