What we do
The Audit Department of the City of Helsinki is a part of the administrative and financial audit system and external auditing of the City. The Audit Department operates as an external auditing unit under the supervision of the City Council and the Audit Committee. We assess the realisation of the goals set by the City Council, as well as the profitability and functionality of the City’s operations. We take care of a part of the City’s statutory audit of the accounts. We also help the Committee supervise reports on conflicts of interest.
Who we are
The Audit Department is a specialised organisation that employs 16 auditing professionals. In our flat organisation, everyone can impact the content of their work and actively participate in developing both themselves and our operations. In 2017, the Audit Department received the Quality Award of Finnish Quality Association.
