Pitäjänmäki Comprehensive School provides basic education in two buildings next to each other. In the same block we also have a library, a youth centre with a motor repair shop and an excellent sports ground. We have approximately 515 students.
As a local school our basic task is to inspire every student to achieve the best possible learning results and to prepare them for the challenges in life. We emphasize good general education and artistic expression in various forms.
Our pupils start studying English already in the 2nd grade. We also provide optional courses in English. For the 7-9 graders there is an emphasized curriculum of Motion, Dance and Performance available.
We have special education classes for hearing impaired pupils and for other pupils with special needs.
