The Helsinki City Rescue Department has around 690 employees. The Rescue Department offers interesting and varied jobs in three different departments.
The Department of Rescue Services’ area of responsibility includes accident prevention and operational activities. These operations are the responsibility of fire fighter paramedics, the operative sub-officer and officer, fire inspectors and safety trainers.
The Technical Department is responsible for the Rescue Department’s technical support services. Tasks include information management, procurement, diverse maintenance and repair services, and facility maintenance.
The Administration and Development Department is responsible for elements such as financial and personnel management operations, the Rescue Department’s operations management, research operations, communications and competence management. Tasks are spread across administrative, educational and planning duties.
