Telephone exchange services

Thousands of citizens contact the departments and enterprises of the City of Helsinki every day. The competent customer service staff of Service Centre ensure that they can quickly reach the right person among some 40,000 city employees.

All the City of Helsinki’s telephone exchange calls are directed through us. When we maintain the exchange service and the number services in a centralised manner, the departments and enterprises can focus on their core competencies, safe in the knowledge that their calls are connected to the right people.

In addition to the telephone exchange, we also maintain the City of Helsinki’s internal and external electronic phone books. This electronic number information is an important data source for the citizens. The employees updating the information ensure that the number and name information is up-to-date in a constantly changing environment.
