Helmet Library consists of the city libraries of Helsinki, Espoo, Kauniainen, and Vantaa.
The library (kirjasto) is a place that is open for all and where you are always welcome. Libraries are free to use.

All Helmet Libraries have Wi-Fi that everyone can use. Children and families with children are offered a wide range of activities, for example story reading and theatre performances. The library staff will help you, answer your questions and tell you about the library.
You need a Helmet library card to use some of the services. With your library card (kirjastokortti) and PIN code you can borrow material, reserve books and other material, and use the eLibrary (e-kirjasto) and computers.
You can borrow materials such as books, magazines, music and films from the library.
Multilingual Library (Monikielinen kirjasto) has books, music, films and magazines in over 80 languages, e.g. Arabic, Chinese, Somali and Kurdish.
Russian Library (Venäjänkielinen kirjasto) has books, music, films, newspapers and magazines in Russian.
At Helmet Libraries’ Language Cafés (kielikahvilat), you can practise your Finnish or Swedish in a relaxed atmosphere.
