Cultural centres

The cultural centres (kulttuurikeskukset) host events, exhibitions and courses and offer facilities for meetings and performances around Helsinki. All residents of Helsinki are welcome to take part in the activities at the cultural centres.

City centre: the multicultural cultural centre Caisa, the arts centre for children and young people Annantalo, and the Savoy Theatre

East Helsinki: Stoa and Vuotalo

West Helsinki: Kanneltalo

Northeast Helsinki: Malmitalo


Caisa

Caisa is a multicultural cultural centre. It organises

  • concerts and performances
  • exhibitions, seminars and discussions
  • festivals, courses and clubs.

Caisa organises language and cultural courses for children. 

Adult hobby groups meet at Caisa weekly.

You can rent the facilities at Caisa for your own events and parties.

Politically independent associations, clubs and groups that promote multiculturalism can use Caisa’s meeting rooms and organise their events at Caisa. Your community can use Caisa’s meeting rooms from Monday to Saturday for 2 hours for free. After that, you must pay rent.

Caisa helps artists with different cultural backgrounds to find cooperation partners. Professional artists can rent facilities and art galleries from Caisa.
