Apply for a non-subsidised apartment
1. Explore terms and conditions, homes available in Vuokraovi, landlords and residential areas
We offer non-subsidised housing for applicants with a sound credit rating and regular income sufficient for paying the rent. No urgency levels or wealth limits are applied to the resident selection of non-subsidised housing.
Non-subsidised apartments are applied for through the Vuokraovi website. Start your search by exploring vacant apartments on Vuokraovi. We also recommend that you familiarise yourself with different landlords, frequently asked questions and residential areas in advance.
2. Submit your housing application
Non-subsidised apartments are applied for with a separate application. You may have pending applications for both state-subsidised ARA rental apartments and non-subsidised apartments at the same time. The application link in the Vuokraovi housing advertisement directs you the city’s e-service, where you can login using strong authentication, i.e., online banking credentials or mobile certificate. You can apply for an apartment as a private customer.
You can select several apartments that you find interesting on your non-subsidised housing application, and you can also add apartments and make other changes to your application at a later date.
The application is valid for three (3) months after it was submitted or since changes were made.
3. Make changes to your application or withdraw it, if necessary
If your situation or requests change, you can add new apartments and edit your application in your e-services folder. After editing, your application is valid for another three months.
You can withdraw your application in your e-services folder. The withdrawal takes effect immediately.
4. Accepting a housing offer
If you are selected as a resident, you will receive a housing offer by e-mail and SMS.
When necessary, we ask applicants to provide us with a residence permit for at least 12 months or a certificate of registration.
Viewing the apartment and signing a lease agreement
With the housing offer, you will receive the landlord’s contact information so that you can arrange for viewing the apartment and signing a lease agreement. You have three (3) weekdays to learn more about the apartment and decide whether to accept it or not.
