Education division, subsidies for organisations that provide recreational activities to children under school age who are not participating in early childhood education

The Education Committee grants subsidies to Helsinki-based organisations that provide daytime recreational activities on weekdays (from 8:00 to 17:00) for children under school age who are not participating in early childhood education. The application period is at January.


It is required that the organisation has been registered, there is evidence of the operations having been ongoing for at least a year, and the activities are aimed at Helsinki residents. The application can be supplemented and attachments can be delivered even after the application period via the online service or by post.

Processing time:

Approximately three months.

Expiration date:

A submitted application will be valid until a decision is made or the application is withdrawn.

When the applicant has filled in a grant application, he or she may save it in a personal e-services folder or send the application to the grant processing system for processing. The processing of the matter may be traced under Development.

The information in the application may be changed as long as the application has the status Received. When the application has the status Processed, it can no longer be changed. An updated application replaces an earlier application. Appendices may be sent before the given deadline using the message feature.
