Helsinki's new Central Library Oodi has made a splash the world over, but its best contribution to the city may just be the part it has played in encouraging its residents to rediscover their local libraries. Over 3.1 million people paid a visit to Oodi in its first year of operation, but each of Helsinki’s other libraries also saw record numbers of visitors, pushing the annual total past 9 million in 2019!
