The tramcar was procured for HKL for testing purposes in 2004. It is former motor tramcar number 150 from Verkehrsbetriebe Ludwigshafen GmbH. Originally, the tramcar had one joint and six axels, but later on it was equipped with a middle tramcar and changed to have eight axels. The tram was used in Ludwigshafen up until the end of 2003.

Now the tram has been renovated as a charter vehicle.

The tram can carry 200 passengers. There are 64 seats.

Equipment:

  • announcement system for the guide
  • CD player, radio
  • serving table
  • indoor screen, which can be programmed to show a short text
  • upholstered seats, curtains, corridor carpets

The tramcar stands out from others with its round shapes from the 1960s and the golden stripes on its sides. Inside, the atmosphere is enhanced by real wooden wall panelling and seats that have been upholstered elegantly with cloth.

The large, opening ventilation windows and the roof hatch ensure ventilation during hot summer days. This tram is not your everyday streetcar!
