Helsinki provides a warm meal service for the homeless

The City of Helsinki provides one warm meal a day to its homeless population. Close to 400 meals will be provided at nine distribution points in different parts of the city.

The housing support office provides housing for single, legal-aged homeless people.

Homeless persons should apply for basic income support (social assistance) at Kela, the state social assistance agency. Click here for more information about Kela's social assistance

Homeless persons are provided public health services just like all other residents.
