Preventative mental health and substance abuse work with adults
The purpose of preventative mental health and substance abuse work with adults is to reduce substance abuse and promote mental health.
The work provides residents with information on the harmful effects of substance abuse and tools that help to prevent and manage substance abuse, in addition to which the work raises awareness of preventive mental health work. Clients are provided with information, assessment tools and peer support for independent life style changes.
The aim is to also provide the professionals with sufficient tools and competence. The work is promoted via various city-level programmes, through producing materials and projects, and via a partnership principle by raising awareness of the work of other operators and participating in networks.
The work is conducted in cooperation with other City
operators and organisations.
