Nutrition therapy

The Department of Social Services and Health Care employs accredited nutrition therapists who provide services in special situations requiring expertise in nutrition. The services require a referral.

The special situations include:

  • Several disorders requiring special diets
  • Celiac disease, complicated intestinal disorders, complicated food allergies
  • Persons with very restricted diets or who consume very little nutrition

When in doubt, consult a doctor or nurse.
