How to become a market square vendor

Seasonal sales permit or regular vending stall
If you run a business, you can become a vendor by applying for either a seasonal sales permit or a regular vending stall. A seasonal sales permit will allow you to sell goods in a square either for an indefinite period (Mon–Sat) or come just for one day. Holders of seasonal sales permits do not have their own stalls, instead, vending stalls are allocated randomly every morning.

If you want to make sure that you have a vending stall every day throughout the year, you can become a regular market square vendor. In this case you pay monthly rent for your regular vending stall.

The application period for the Market Square and Hakaniemi Square stalls has closed for this year. We will make an announcement in the autumn regarding the situation for 2018.

Market place card for a day slot

If you do not run a business and you wish to sell your products at a market square, you can apply for a market place card (day slot). With a market place card, you may only sell handicrafts and baked goods that you have made yourself, as well as berries and vegetables that you have picked or grown yourself. Market place cards are available for Hakaniemi, Ylä-Malmi, Töölö and Helsinki Market Squares.

The application period for the Market Square and Hakaniemi Square stalls has closed for this year. We will make an announcement in the autumn regarding the situation for 2018.
