The City rents out so-called seasonal sales spots during city events and holidays. Seasonal sales operations, such as the sale of Christmas trees, may only be carried out in designated spots, which are subject to a rental fee.
You can also sell products from a bicycle, cart or moped in the city without a separate permit or fee. Operating a mobile food kiosk, however, is subject to agreement. Sales must take place in pre-designated locations and according to a schedule.
Inquiries concerning fixed kiosk spots at public beaches should be directed to the Culture and Leisure Division. The City also rents out City-owned facilities, such as kiosks, for sales use. For more information on marketplace sales spaces, please contact to Helsinki City Premises Ltd (in Finnish).
