When you suspect an indoor air problem in a city facility

If you suspect that the indoor air in a city location is giving you certain symptoms or if you think its quality is poor, follow the instructions below.

City personnel

Share your suspicions related to indoor air quality with the site’s supervisor, such as school principal or other close supervisor.

Also report your symptoms to occupational healthcare services. The information collected by the occupational healthcare services will be used to assess the indoor air situation in the workplace.

Guardian of a school pupil or a child in daycare

Share your suspicions related to indoor air quality with the site’s supervisor, such as the school principal. If your child is exhibiting symptoms, share this with the site’s supervisor and contact either the school nurse or a daycare-aged child’s own healthcare services.

The school nurse will keep a record of the prevalence of potential symptoms caused by indoor air and will direct the pupil to further examinations at a health centre if necessary.
