Application to vocational upper secondary education
Application to vocational upper secondary education is made in the joint application process online on Studyinfo.fi. Application to studies starting in the autumn is made during the preceding spring season, and application to studies starting in January is made in the autumn. There are programmes based on both comprehensive school education and general upper secondary education.
Holders of a vocational upper secondary degree, another vocational degree or qualifications, or a university degree cannot apply in the joint application process. Holders of a general upper secondary school certificate apply to programmes based on general upper secondary education, and other degree holders apply to vocational upper secondary education for adults.
Joint application to vocational upper secondary education has been revised to favour applicants seeking their first secondary education place. More information on admission requirements, admission tests, aptitude tests, language tests and health requirements can be found on Studyinfo.fi.

Application to preparatory training for vocational education and to similar preparatory training for immigrants (mava training) is made in June-July after the results of joint application have been announced.
