The Kivikko skiing hall reopened its tracks to enthusiastic skiers of Southern Finland in October 2016. The Kivikko skiing hall is located just 15 minutes from the centre of Helsinki. The basic circuit of the ski track is 850 metres, with an additional loop adding another 200 metres. The width of the tracks is 6–8 metres. Sauna after skiing is included in the entrance fee. During the hall’s opening hours, you can also rent skis or use the ski maintenance service.

During winters with plenty of snow, an extensive cross-country skiing track network in Helsinki is also available to skiers. It offers up to 200 kilometres worth of tracks to explore. The state of the skiing tracks can be monitored through the Outdoor Exercise map which includes the date the track was last maintained or its state when inspected, its lengths and lighting, and the recommended skiing style.
