Töölö sports hall
Töölö Sports hall, previously known as Messuhalli – or exhibition hall – was completed in 1935 as a multipurpose hall. After the Olympic Games, the hall served its original purpose until 1975, after which it was renamed Töölö Sports Hall and transferred to the ownership of the City of Helsinki and the management of Sports Services.
Currently the hall serves a very diverse range of local fitness exercisers, and regular competition activities are held in basketball, volleyball, fencing, boxing and gymnastics. The building is also home to the City of Helsinki Sports Department’s administration.
