The coastal location of Helsinki offers great opportunities for boating. Boat harbours are managed by the Sports Department of Helsinki and several boat clubs and associations.
The city’s guest harbour is located at Katajanokka right next to the Kauppatori plaza and its varied services. The Suomenlinna Fortress, Pihlajasaari and Valkosaari offers also guest harbour berths.

The winter storage season has ended on 10 June 2017. Boats left in the area must be moved away immediately. Otherwise the boats will be moved by the Marine Services Unit to a storage area at the owner's responsibility and expense. Further information only by e-mail Liv.Meos@hel.fi
This year, there will be no boat auction.
The Jätkäsaari winter storage area for boats (and the summer storage area for boats and docking equipment) is closed on 10 June 2017 due to housing construction.
All constructions in the area, such as fences, electricity and water, will be taken down immediately after the end of the winter storage season.
Boaters who dock their boats at the western winter storage area in Merisatama (Eiranranta 1) can move their docking equipment to the Rajasaari docking area for the summer.
