Special transportation

Special transportation may be requested for a pupil who cannot manage the journey to school independently using public transport.

Special transportation can also be provided at the guardian’s request and on the basis of a specialist statement. Special transportation usually consists of shared taxi rides. Individual transportation is also possible based on a statement from a doctor. Special transportation is detailed in a separate service description.

For children using special transportation, two special transportation journeys are available per day. One of the journeys is always the journey from home to school. The second journey in the afternoon may be used to travel from the school to the statutory after-school activities or from the after-school activities to home. Transportation from the after-school activities to home is organised as a shared taxi ride.

A pupil entitled to special transportation may also receive a multi-use travel card.

Transportation to therapy sessions is not included in special transportation.
