Client charges for after-school activities

After-school activities are subject to a fee:

  • EUR 100/month, if activities end at 16:00
  • EUR 120/month, if activities end at 17:00

Application deadlines

You can apply for a client fee reduction only after you have received a decision on your child’s after-school activities.

  • If you are applying for a client free reduction for the entire school year or only for the autumn term, the application must be submitted by 31 December.
  • If you are applying for a client fee reduction only for the spring term, the application must be submitted by 31 May.

How to submit applications and attachments

  • submit the application form via secure e-mail
  • by post to City of Helsinki, Education Division, Client Fees and Invoicing, Schoolchildren's after-school activities

  • deliver personally to us at Töysänkatu 2 D, 00510 Helsinki, opening hours 8:00-16:00.

How to use secure e-mail

You can submit the application form via secure e-mail, for which you will have to confirm your identity using your online banking credentials, mobile ID or a chipped ID card. Identification serves as an electronic signature for the form.

Read the instructions to avoid submitting an empty application:

  1. Download the application form that you need from this website and save it on your computer.
  2. Close the browser window displaying the opened form. If a notification concerning the downloaded file pops up, do not open the file via the notification.
  3. Find the saved application form on your computer and open it with a PDF reader application. You can download a free-of-charge PDF reader application from the internet, if necessary.
  4. Fill in the form and save it with your child’s name as follows: lastname_firstname_asiakasmaksu.
    Close the form and open it again. Make sure that the information that you entered was saved. Close the form.
  1. On the website, click the submit the application form via secure e-mail link.
  2. Enter your e-mail address in the Lähettäjä (Sender) field. Proceed to identification.
  3. Continue the process until you reach the Uusi viesti (New message) view. Type Asiakasmaksu in the aihe (subject) field. At the bottom, see Liitetiedostot (Attachments) and click Valitse tiedostot (Select files). Find and select the form that you filled in on your computer. Click Liitä (Attach).
  4. Finally, click Lähetä (Send).
