Contraceptive counselling at a health station

We offer a range of services related to contraception, including the initiation of hormonal contraception, IUD fittings and removals. Our team can also provide expert advice on pregnancy termination and address concerns related to sexuality or sexual health.

To access contraceptive counselling, please get in touch with your local health station. You can reach them through Maisa or by phone. Additionally, the Kalasatama and Vuosaari health stations offer a walk-in, appointment-free consultation service for individuals under 25 years of age, regardless of gender. During these consultations, you can confidentially discuss contraception, sexuality, dating, relationships, menstruation, and other relevant topics with a nurse and sexual counsellor.

In Helsinki, contraception is available free of charge to individuals of all ages, subject to specific criteria.

- You are considering using a birth control implant as your chosen contraceptive method.
- You are under the age of 25 and considering an abortion.
- You are under 17 years old and considering starting birth control.
- You have unique circumstances related to birth control that require special attention.
