Street-based social work comprises helping people of limited financial means with housing and financial matters and steering them towards other services.

Street-based social work approaches people who are experiencing financial difficulties. Street-based social work comprises making a situational assessment; helping with housing and financial matters, for example with applying for social assistance and Kela allowances; establishing contact with a Financial Support social care worker/social worker; acquiring an ID card; and with banking affairs, while also steering the client towards other appropriate services.
