Community work

Community work is a persistent promotion of the development of a city district, in cooperation with the residents, the companies in the area, different organisations and the authorities.

Messages from the area residents regarding concerns and development needs which are not the responsibility of a certain authority are addressed through the cooperation networks and resident meetings. The level of disturbance or magnitude of the problem is discussed, as well as the potential for solving the matter by a certain actor, and whether someone is already taking care of the matter. If the solution for the issue requires cooperation by several bodies, the community work reacts by seeking out and uniting the relevant actors.

You can contact a community worker if you want to improve the comfort, safety and wellbeing of an area.
