The City of Helsinki smoking clinic organises smoking cessation groups where people share their experiences on how to stop smoking. Groups are organised at different health stations.
Smoking is the greatest lifestyle-related cause of morbidity and mortality. In addition to increasing the risk of cancer, smoking also increases the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Quitting smoking is a key part of the prevention and treatment of diabetes, hypertension, coronary artery disease, asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
You can register for the smoking cessation group by calling the clinic's appointment booking number, 040 334 7459, 040 836 1840 or 040 754 9686.
The services of the smoking clinic are free of charge.
The service is only for citizens of Helsinki.
