Maternity and child health work

Maternity clinics aims to ensure the health of the expectant mother, foetus and the new-born baby. The maternity clinics support the parents in the major changes brought on by the child's birth and promote and maintain the health and wellbeing of the whole family.

The objective of the child health operations is to secure the child's health and support the parents so that the child can have good conditions for healthy growth, development and wellbeing. The child health clinic monitors and examines the child's growth and development, discusses the family's health habits and any questions the family may have. From the child health clinic, the child can also get vaccines against severe diseases, in accordance with the national vaccination programme.
