Support person activities in child welfare services

The service is intended for a child or young person, who is a client of the child welfare services and who needs the support of a safe adult and wants an appointed support person.

The care plan of the child or young person dictates what the support person can do with him or her: shared hobbies or recreational activities or discussions, for example.
Support person activities in child welfare services are voluntary work.

The support person is applied for via the child's own appointed social worker.

The activities are free of charge for the voluntary worker and those receiving help or support through the activities.
