Event announcement

An e-service for making an announcement or filing a license application to the different authorities of Helsinki about events, public happenings and sales and marketing events in Helsinki.

Process:

1. An application filed electronically will be processed at the divisions responsible for event licenses and announcements. These are The Urban Environment Division, Culture and leisure division, the Rescue Department and the Port of Helsinki.

2. Where necessary, the divisions will require additional information from the event organizer or the person who has been assigned responsibility, either through this eService, by e-mail, by phone or by mail.

3. Each division will separately inform the applicants about their decisions and the decision fees will be charged to the invoicing address given in the registration information.

4. The mandatory information provided in the eService application form relates to the event's organizer, name, place and time and an adequate content description. If several actors engaging in the sale or distribution of food or other matters take part in the event, they are required to make their own announcements separately.

Processing time:

The handling times vary between divisions depending on the issue.

Advice and links to the web pages of many state authorities, such as the Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment, and other private and public actors can be found in the instructions on the application. Dealing with these authorities must be taken care of separately, not in this eService. The event organizer must also provide an announcement to the police, lupahallinto.helsinki@poliisi.fi.
