Vaccination is the most effective way to prevent influenza infections
“You should take an influenza vaccine to protect yourself and those around you from influenza and its complications. Getting the vaccine is particularly important if you have a person close to you who is at a higher risk of developing severe influenza,” says Timo Lukkarinen, Medical Director of Health Stations.
Influenza and COVID-19 vaccine at the same time
You can take the influenza vaccine at the same time as the COVID-19 vaccine. If you are 65 years old or older, 18 years of age or older and are at risk of a coronavirus infection or 12 years old and suffering from severe immunodeficiency, we recommend that you take an influenza vaccination and a booster dose of the coronavirus vaccination at the same time. In this case, you only need to book one vaccination appointment. You do not need two appointments.
