Coaching courses for new informal caregivers

In the coaching course for new informal caregivers, you will learn the basics for acting as an informal caregiver and meet people in the same life situation.

The goal of the coaching course is to support you as an informal caregiver. We will discuss, for example, matters related to the status of an informal caregiver and the collaboration between the City of Helsinki and an informal caregiver. We will also cover the basics of assistance and care work. You will receive information about the support forms for informal care families and matters affecting the well-being of informal caregivers. During the course, you will also get to know other informal caregivers and receive peer support from people in the same situation.

The coaching course for new informal caregivers meets five times. The course will be organised either remotely or at the activity centre for informal care. You may keep the material covered during the course for yourself.

You can register for the coaching course for new informal caregivers by contacting the activity centre for informal care. You may participate in a course organised by any of the activity centres.

After the basic coaching course, you can attend an advanced course comprising three meetings.

We provide the courses only in Finnish.
