Helsinki Vocational College and Adult Institute’s teaching and counselling continuing as remote and online teaching as of 18 March 2020

On 16 March 2020, the Finnish Government issued policies that have a major impact on many things, including the operations of Helsinki Vocational College and Adult Institute (Stadin ammatti- ja aikuisopisto).

Instead of contact instruction, all teaching and counselling will be arranged by alternative means until 13 April 2020, utilising means such as distance learning, various digital learning environments and solutions and independent study, as necessary.

The institute’s facilities are closed to students. School welfare officer, psychologist and student health care services remain available. Student lunches will not be provided.

At Helsinki Vocational College and Adult Institute, every learner has a personal learning plan. Even though teaching and counselling is not being arranged in the school’s premises, the aim is for everyone to progress in their studies according to their personal learning plan. For more information, please contact your teacher or other familiar member of staff.

Training and apprenticeship training periods will continue as normal according to workplaces’ own policies.
