Work and day activities

Work and day activities for the intellectually disabled help the disabled to manage their daily lives, empower the disabled, and offer the disabled opportunities for social inclusion and peer support. Work activities can involve training for work; participation in catering, cleaning and laundry services; and in some cases subcontracted activities.

Day activities offer customers opportunities to form perceptions of their bodies and self with the help of music, physical activities and arts.

In addition to City operations, these activities for the intellectually disabled are provided by contracted units.

Day activities for the intellectually disabled help customers to cope independently outside their homes and promote their social interaction.

These services are provided by the Mellari day-activity unit and by contracted units.
