Assisted living services
Assisted living as defined by the law on services for the intellectually disabled is meant for intellectually disabled or ill persons who need assistance in their daily lives continuously, at different times of day and night or to a great deal otherwise, without being in need for long-term care.
Assisted living is provided at City-owned assisted living and contracted units.
Assisted living services can also be provided at the customer’s own home.
According to the law assisted living services are provided at group homes, in housing groups and at assisted living homes. Assisted living services are organized according to need, either 24 hours or at some hours of day and night.
In addition to the City’s group homes, a total of about 30 of them, assisted living services are provided at contracted units.
Assisted living services are also available in family care.
