Assisted Employment and training for employment
Assisted Employment is a service that trains intellectually disabled and autistic individuals for employment and helps them to find employment in the free labour market. The service is meant for customers aged 18 and older.
To apply for the service, turn to Assisted Employment.
Training for employment is meant for intellectually disabled young people beyond the compulsory education age and for adults. The training is mainly organized by the Education Department. The Department of Social Services and Health Care organizes training for intellectually disabled adults on a smaller scale.
Training for employment can include learning new facts and skills in theory and applying the theory into practice, new motor skills, and home and workplace skills.
Training for employment is provided at the Haavikko Training and Adult Education Centre.
