Helsinki City College of Social and Health Care
The Helsinki City College of Social and Health Care (Hesote) offers vocational upper secondary education and training to both young and adult students. We have approximately 1800 students and 200 teachers and other staff members.
The language of instruction is Finnish.
At Hesote you can take the following upper secondary vocational qualifications:
- Vocational Qualification in Social and Health Care, Practical Nurse
- Vocational Qualification in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Assistant
- Vocational Qualification in Dental Technology, Dental Laboratory Assistant
In addition we offer preparatory training for Further Vocational Qualifications as well as additional vocational training such as tailor-made courses for companies.
We also offer Preparatory Vocational Training for Immigrants which aims to give them the linguistic and other abilities necessary for starting vocational studies in Finland.
Young students can participate in Preparatory Instruction and Guidance for VET which is aimed for those young people who did not manage to secure a study place after basic education.
We encourage our students to take part in student exchange and international projects.
