Nordic solutions for sustainable cities

The capitals of Nordic countries have published a joint catalogue, where they share their best efforts to reach the sustainable future.  Although every city is unique, we all face the same challenges of climate change and resource depletion.

We have produced this catalogue together to outline some of the solutions we have found to creating more sustainable cities, in the hope that it may be useful and inspiring for other cities also outside the Nordic region. (pdf 5 987 kB)

There are 580,000 of us Helsinki residents so our choices have an impact. Most everyday actions that reduce emissions save both energy and euros. The chart shows the impact of our everyday choices on climate change.
