In the evening and at weekends, adults in urgent need of medical treatment are attended to at the Haartman or Maria Hospital’s Emergency Health Centre:

At night children in urgent need of medical treatment should be taken to Lastenklinikka’s Emergency Department, while adults’ acute cases are attended to at the Haartman or Malmi Hospital’s Emergency Department.

Starting from 1 April 2010, all residents from Helsinki/Espoo/Vantaa/Kauniainen with acute need for medical attention can also seek emergency care from the Helsinki, Espoo or Vantaa Emergency Health Centres on weekdays between 4 pm and 8 am and 24 hours/day during weekends and public holidays.
