Central bookkeeping is responsible for the combining of the bookkeeping data for the different municipal offices. It also does their property bookkeeping and acts as a consultant in matters dealing with bookkeeping and VAT.

Central bookkeeping is also responsible for preparing the annual municipal accounts.
