Ressu IB students took part in mathematics contests organised by the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada.
The Cayley and Fermat Contests are an opportunity for students to have fun and to develop their mathematical problem solving ability.
Students in Grade 10 or below are eligible to write the Cayley Contest, while students in Grade 11 or below are eligible to write the Fermat Contest.
Every student scoring in the top 25% of all competitors receives a Certificate of Distinction.
Ressu pre-year students Matti Kaleva, Valtteri Lipiäinen and Elizaveta Moshes got certificates of distinction for top performance in the Cayley Contest.
IB1 students Valtteri Niutanen, German Moshes, Ieva Cepaite and Sid Oksala got certificates of distinction for top performance in the Fermat Contest.
