The Helsinki Rescue School, part of the Helsinki City Rescue Department, has trained fire fighter-ambulance technicians and fire officers for the service of the Rescue Department since 1972. The operative training of fire fighters begins with learning the skills needed in the profession and is completed with training for skills required in real-life accident situations.
In addition to the qualification training, the Helsinki Rescue School arranges further training for the staff of the Rescue Department and courses for other target groups.
