Experts in the fire safety
 

The on-duty fire inspector (tel. +358 9 310 31203) answers the fire-safety related questions of Helsinki residents 8:30 a.m.-11.30 a.m. and 12:00 noon - 3:30 p.m.

The planner guidance group provides advice in construction and renovation matters pertaining to fire and rescue safety and the construction of civil defence shelter. The Helsinki City Rescue Department organises also safety training for city offices and departments.

Closing roads, roadwork

Notifications regarding the closing of roads or roadwork sites that impede traffic can be made to the control room of the Central Rescue Station (tel. +358 9 310 30150).

Construction and property maintenance services

The City of Helsinki is an entrepreneur as intended in section 8 c subsection 1 of the Finnish value added tax act. A reverse charge mechanism for value added tax will be applied to the Helsinki City Rescue Department as buyer of construction services. The VAT number of the City of Helsinki is FI02012566.
