The general education information desk and the customer service of the archives operate at the service point of the City of Helsinki Education Department.

The information desk provides information about schools and vocational institutions in Helsinki, apprenticeship training, workshops for young people, and issues related to administrative services. The application guides and brochures published by the Education Department are also available from the information and service point, and studies published in the Education Department's publication series can be purchased there.

The duties of the archive include maintaining the Education Department's archive, and providing counselling and guidance on archives management at schools. Pupil cards and copies of report cards from comprehensive school are also stored in the archive.

The Registry

The registry handles the processing and registration of incoming and outgoing mail, and the reception and opening of procurement tenders. The presentation lists and minutes of the board of education can be viewed at the registry. The registry publishes internal mailshots online and stores the original copies of documents.
