Welcome to youth department´s summer camps!

On holiday all summer long! If you need holiday activities, you can choose the ones you like the most from about 200 camps, courses and other nice summer activities. How about a adventure camp, going to a band camp or go-kart camp? Check out nuoriso.hel.fi/harrastushaku right before the beginning of the summer and spend your holidays in the way that best fits you.

The themes to which the camps are devoted range from adventure to music and arts, from Harry Potter to animals. The programmes feature a lot of interesting things to do, new pals, experiences in the bosom of nature and in the pulsing life of the city. The competent staff of the Youth Department direct and guide activities.

A large part of our summer camps are held on the legendary island of Bengtsår in superb archipelago scenery. Others take place in the Youth Department’s own centres in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area as well as at other camps and excursion destinations elsewhere in Finland.

The Youth park in Pihlajamäki 

The Youth park in Pihlajamäki consists of a girls’ park, a freestyle park, a playfield for outdoor games and a café. This summer also the playfield is ready build. There will be also different activities for girls varying from dance, arts to beauty treatments and sports.

Night basketball at Hietaniemi beach

The best summer island of Helsinki!

Vartiosaari wakes up every summer and offers 13-17-year-olds all kinds of summer recreational activities, from sailing to pedal boating and from canoeing to water-skiing. Vartiosaari's hot beach is crowned by a floating pontoon sauna. To visit Vartiosaari with a buch of your friends take contact with the nearest youth centre.
