A climate information centre, Ilmasto.info,will be opened in Helsinki in the autumn. The purpose of this is to reduce climate emission. The centre will be of assistance to the residents and the small and medium-sized enterprises in the Metropolitan Area by advising them about energy efficient and energy saving methods. Energy information includes water consumption, travelling, preventing waste coming about and reducing material consumption.

The basis for the centre’s work is the consumers’ concern about the climate change and their need to alter their own way of life so that they do their part in counteracting the climate change.
